Step by step

Getting ashore

Ships dock at Mina Rashid (Hamdan Bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal) near Old Dubai, or at Dubai Harbour near Dubai Marina.

  1. 1
    Check your terminal

Mina Rashid is near Bur Dubai; Dubai Harbour is in the newer Marina area.

  2. 2
    Get around

Taxis are plentiful; the metro is clean and cheap.

  3. 3
    Explore

Old Dubai's souks, Downtown's Burj Khalifa and the desert.

💡 Pro move: Book Burj Khalifa 'At the Top' tickets for sunset — they sell out and cost more at peak times.

Port-specific access research

Mobility & accessibility in Dubai

Dubai's modern observation deck has documented wheelchair access, but traditional Creek boats and souk stops still have limitations. Select the specific experience.

Published sources reviewed October 17, 2026. This is desk research, not an on-site access audit. Access can change with the ship, berth, equipment and operating conditions.

Wheelchair-accessible experience

The official ticket operator confirms the experience is wheelchair accessible. Its FAQ says working service animals are not allowed on the tour, an important booking constraint to resolve directly if you use one.

Boat step and toilet limitations

Visit Dubai notes a step into traditional narrow abras; modern larger boats have wheelchair spaces. It also warns that some Spice Souk shops have steps and there is no nearby accessible toilet.

A practical way to plan this port

Planning suggestion: Choose a prebooked observation-deck visit and adapted taxi; use a Creek crossing only with the exact accessible vessel confirmed.

Confirm before booking

  • Actual cruise terminal and a suitable People of Determination taxi.
  • Device size, service-animal policy and accessible toilets for any souk or boat add-on.
