Mykonos is the glamorous Cycladic island of windmills, whitewashed lanes, Little Venice sunsets and stylish beach clubs. It's also the jumping-off point for sacred Delos, one of Greece's most important archaeological sites.

Step by step
Getting ashore
Most ships dock at the New Port in Tourlos, about 2 km north of Mykonos Town. Some anchor and tender directly to the Old Port.
1
Ride the Sea Bus or shuttle
A Sea Bus ferry and buses link the New Port to town in 10–15 minutes.
2
Explore Mykonos Town
Little Venice, the windmills and Paraportiani church are in the maze of lanes.
3
Go to Delos
Ferries leave from the Old Port (closed Mondays).
💡 Pro move: Delos is closed on Mondays and in strong wind — check before you plan your day.

Port-specific access research
Mobility & accessibility in Mykonos
An adapted island drive is available from specialist operators, but it does not certify every old-town entrance or a separate boat excursion to Delos.
Published sources reviewed October 17, 2026. This is desk research, not an on-site access audit. Access can change with the ship, berth, equipment and operating conditions.
Attractions and excursions: what changes the choice
Island panorama drive
Operator advertises ramp transfer
Discover Greece lists a private accessible panorama drive with ramp-equipped transfer and selected stops including Agios Yiannis, Kalafatis and Ano Mera. Treat this as a specific booked product, not an island-wide guarantee.
Delos Tours departs from Deliana Pier in the Old Port. Its published services page does not specify wheelchair boarding, device limits or an adapted archaeological route; obtain these details before substituting Delos for a land tour.
Planning suggestion: Ask for a ramp-vehicle panorama itinerary with agreed photo stops; add old-town interiors only after the operator verifies their entrances.
