Mobility & accessibility in Palm Beach
Whitehall has ramps and an elevator, while Flagler’s historic railcar uses a video alternative for visitors who cannot safely board.
Published sources reviewed October 17, 2026. This is desk research, not an on-site access audit. Access can change with the ship, berth, equipment and operating conditions.
Attractions and excursions: what changes the choice
Flagler Museum / Whitehall
South-side accessible entrance
The museum directs visitors using mobility aids to the south-side entrance. Permanent ramps and an elevator address architectural level changes; accessible restrooms are on Whitehall’s first floor and in the Kenan Pavilion.
The museum provides a captioned video outside the railcar for visitors unable to board safely. A generally accessible museum visit should not be sold as unrestricted access inside the historic railcar.
Planning suggestion: Reserve an adapted transfer to Whitehall’s south-side entrance and enjoy the house and Pavilion with the railcar video where appropriate.
