Step by step
Getting ashore
Port Canaveral sits at the mouth of the Banana River, beside Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The cruise terminals line the north and south sides of the harbour.
1
Plan your transfer
Most guests fly into Orlando (MCO), 45–60 minutes away. Pre-book a shuttle, private car or cruise transfer.
2
Drop off at your terminal
Terminals are numbered (1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10). Porters take your luggage at the kerb.
3
Board the ship
Check-in takes 30–60 minutes at your boarding time.
💡 Pro move: Check the launch schedule before you sail — departures and launches sometimes line up, and the view from deck is unforgettable.

Port-specific access research
Mobility & accessibility in Port Canaveral
Kennedy Space Center has wheelchair and scooter bus lifts, but the Shuttle Launch Experience requires a seat transfer for the simulation.
Published sources reviewed October 17, 2026. This is desk research, not an on-site access audit. Access can change with the ship, berth, equipment and operating conditions.
Attractions and excursions: what changes the choice
KSC bus tour and exhibits
Lift-equipped buses and accessible restrooms
The visitor complex states all tour buses have wheelchair/scooter lifts, requested at boarding. Wheelchair and ECV rentals can be reserved online, and accessible restrooms are provided throughout the complex.
Wheelchairs and ECVs can use the gantry entrance, but the simulation requires transfer to its accessible seat with harness. Visitors unable or unwilling to transfer can use the Launch Observation Room and reunite with their party afterward.
Planning suggestion: Book an adapted port transfer and prioritize KSC exhibits and bus tour, selecting the observation alternative if a simulator transfer is unsuitable.
